It all started with one dog 13 years ago and the rest is history. We got our first Weimaraner Bentley in 2010 as a companion, but our breeder convinced us to giving showing in conformation a try. We fell in love with the atmosphere, the challenge, and the social aspect of it. Our boy Bentley was our first for many things. He was our first show dog, our first performance dog, and our first stud dog. We truly couldn't have asked for a better introduction to all things Weimaraner. He was a challenge to say the least, but you don't learn anything from an easy dog. He taught us so much and we wouldn't be where we are without him.
Murphy came to us in 2015 when we needed a new challenge and Bentley told us he was ready for a friend. Where we started with Bentley, Murphy truly made us soar. With all the foundation we got from learning and training with Bentley, Murphy got a better start out of the gate. We knew what we were doing so we were ahead of the game. Murphy helped us reach new heights from winning Groups, to placing at Westminster, to tackling even more performance.
With 13 years in Weims under our belt, we felt it was time to get our first girl. She taught us that everything we thought we knew, we didn't. Yahtzee came into our family like a hurricane and we wouldn't have it any other way. She is full of life, lave, and spice. She is entirely too smart for her own good and does things on her own terms. She is the best snuggler and her tail never stops wagging. It has been a very different dynamic working with and training a girl vs the boys. She challenges us in every way and has her own idea of what "team work" is. We are having a blast with her and we keep learning every day.
We are looking at planning our first litter in fall of 2023 with the guidance and support of Yahtzee's breeder. It is a new adventure that we are very excited to be going on and can't wait to have "puppy people" of our own. None of this would be possible without the fabulous breeders we have had along the way that have chosen us for their dogs, and the support they have provided.
